People have been referring to the “aesthetic style” for quite some time, but what is it exactly? The aesthetic concept is much more than a passing fad; one could even call it a way of life that is reflected in how people dress, decorate their residences, and use social media filters.
Essentially, it is anything that emphasizes the beautiful and pleasurable and creates an aesthetic pleasure. Even though this style is inherently subjective, there are a number of guidelines to follow when discussing it. Among them are the devotion to retro (but always with a modern twist), the
nostalgic, fashion from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000, Y2K, grunge, pastel tones, color contrast, minimalism, and clean lines, among others. There is, indeed, a fairly widespread aesthetic trend.
This trend originated on Tumblr, and the majority of its followers are members of generation Z. They want to incorporate all of these trends to produce something that is incredibly unique and, most importantly, aesthetically appealing.
